‘You Can’t Even Summon the President’, Mr. Macaroni Blasts Senate Over Rising Insecurity

Popular thespian and activist Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has questioned the role of the Nigerian senate amid escalating insecurity in the country, stating that they cannot even summon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, he expressed disappointment over the Senators’ inaction, describing them as “embarrassing lots”.
He wrote: “We have a Senate that sings ‘On your mandate we shall stand’, swearing allegiance to the President you are supposed to be checking and balancing.
“You can’t even summon the President and ask questions on behalf of the people of Nigeria that you ought to be representing.”
The comedian added: “But they know how to share our money (prayers) to their mailboxes and oppress Nigerians with the same power the people have given to them. Embarrassing lots!!!”
