DC Adigun embarked on a working and familiarisation visit on Monday, December 15, 2025, following his recent assumption of duty. The visit provided him with the opportunity to observe terminal operations and assess their overall efficiency.

The exercise was aimed at evaluating operational processes, assessing compliance with Customs laws and procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring effective supervision of officers on duty. It also enabled him to review the readiness, safety, and security measures in place across all terminals under the Command.

Operating bonded terminals visited included Bestaf Terminal, Joliz Terminal, Phase 2 Terminal, ESSLIBRA Terminal, and Port Express Terminal. During the visits, DC Adigun inspected facilities, reviewed cargo handling processes, and emphasised discipline, integrity, and strict adherence to Customs regulations.

He also visited licenced terminals yet to commence full operations, including Beachland Consortium Limited, Harvard Terminal, and Tenzik Terminal. At these locations, he confirmed that the terminals had met all required documentary and facility standards.

The Deputy Comptroller pledged his full support for the terminals’ operations as they explore business opportunities within the maritime corridor.

He commended officers for their dedication and exemplary hard work, urging them to strengthen teamwork as a collective approach to facilitating legitimate trade.

Adigun further stressed the need for broader collaboration with sister agencies and stakeholders, with strict adherence to regulatory standards.

The visit provided him with a brief yet thorough understanding of the Command’s operations, thereby bolstering his supervisory control over all bonded terminals within the Command.

Ultimately, the visit highlights his commitment to operational excellence, strict compliance, accountability, and the facilitation of legitimate trade.
