The figure represents an increase of ₦3,823,403,842.78 compared to the corresponding period of 2024, when the Command recorded ₦10,862,852,247.71, reflecting a 35 per cent increase.
The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, disclosed this during a press briefing on the Command’s scorecard for the last quarter of 2025, held at Kabala Doki, Kaduna State, on Tuesday.
According to him, the Command collected ₦5,164,461,391.90 in October, ₦3,834,792,747.70 in November, and ₦5,687,002,130.89 in December.
Comptroller Hassan attributed the achievement to the diligence, professionalism, and commitment of officers and men of the Command, who worked tirelessly to ensure that revenue targets were met and exceeded.
He also credited the feat to the Command’s steadfast commitment to the growth of the national economy, motivation from the management of the Service, and the continuous deployment of intelligence and reconnaissance by the monitoring and compliance team.
The CAC stated that the Command’s core mandate remains revenue generation for the Federal Government, facilitation of legitimate trade, and protection of national economic security.
He noted that the Command would continue to implement necessary measures to improve revenue collection, with adequate support from other service units.
“We shall maintain success through synergy and continued dialogue by engaging and sensitising the local and trader communities while discharging our statutory responsibilities of enforcing compliance with government fiscal policies,” the Comptroller said.
He commended the dedication of officers and men of the Command and the cooperation of other units, particularly the Customs Intelligence Unit, the Valuation Unit, and the Customs Police Unit, for their prompt and effective actions.
Comptroller Hassan emphasised that their commitment contributed significantly to the Command’s success.
He stressed that the achievement aligns with the policy direction of the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, noting that the CGC has championed the principles of consolidation, collaboration, and innovation.
He added that CGC Adeniyi’s visionary leadership and enabling support have been crucial in enhancing the Command’s operational capacity and driving the impressive results recorded.
The CAC appealed to factories and terminal operators to ensure the timely payment of appropriate excise duties, import duties, and other statutory charges.
He thanked traders for their compliance and urged them to remain consistent in adhering to customs regulations.
Comptroller Hassan reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate as outlined in the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023, and expressed gratitude to the CGC and the Customs management for providing an enabling environment for success.
He further appreciated stakeholders for their continued collaboration and synergy with the Command in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities across Kaduna State.
