Oyo/Osun Customs Conducts Medical Outreach for Officers, Reaffirms Commitment to Personnel Welfare

The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has conducted a medical outreach for officers across its patrol teams and outstations as part of efforts to enhance their welfare and operational efficiency.
According to the Command‘s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Akintola Abiodun Abdulmalik, the medical checkups commenced on Monday, April 20, and ended on Friday, April 24, 2026.


The initiative, put together by the Command‘s Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole, was aimed at promoting the health and wellbeing of personnel, thereby strengthening their capacity to effectively discharge their duties within their respective areas of responsibility.
Carried out through the Command’s Medical Unit, the outreach was led by Assistant Comptroller Jamila Ukpo, who visited key outstations and patrol bases where comprehensive medical checkups and basic healthcare services were provided to officers and men.

The outreach highlights the Command’s recognition of the critical role of sound health in achieving optimal performance and maintaining high standards of service delivery.


The Command reiterated its commitment to initiatives that support the welfare, morale, and productivity of its personnel in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.
