Tambuwal Condemns Bandit Attack on Sokoto Community, Calls for Stronger Security Measures

Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Tambuwal, has condemned the recent bandit attack on Dangulbi community in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State, describing the incident as painful, unacceptable, and a direct assault on the peace and security of the people.
Tambuwal expressed deep sadness over the attack, which reportedly claimed innocent lives, destroyed property, and displaced several families in the community.
“I am deeply saddened and heartbroken by the recent bandit attacks on Dangulbi community in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State, which claimed innocent lives, destroyed property, and displaced families,” he said.
Tambuwal noted that the recurring attacks on innocent citizens were a stark reminder of the security challenges confronting communities across the region.
The former Sokoto State governor lamented that the attacks are not only tragic but also threaten the peace and stability of affected communities.
He extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
Tambuwal also offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljannatul Firdausi, while giving their families the strength and patience to bear the painful losses. He further prayed for the safe return of all persons abducted during the attack.
Calling for urgent action, the Senator urged security agencies to intensify efforts toward restoring peace and strengthening protection for vulnerable communities across the Sokoto-Zamfara axis.
“Our people deserve to live in safety and pursue their livelihoods without fear,” he stated.
Tambuwal equally called on residents to remain united and support all genuine efforts aimed at ending banditry and restoring lasting peace to communities affected by insecurity.
He reaffirmed the need for collective action in tackling banditry and ensuring that citizens can live and work without the constant threat of violence.
