The Daily Times Nigeria (DTN) has announced the commencement of nominations for the DTN@100 Trailblazer Award as part of activities marking its centenary celebration.
The award is designed to recognise outstanding companies that have demonstrated excellence, innovation and industry leadership while projecting Nigeria positively on the global stage. It seeks to honour organisations whose achievements have continued to shape industries, drive progress and contribute significantly to national development.
According to the organisers, eligible companies are expected to have recorded outstanding performance and leadership in their respective industries, made verifiable contributions to Nigeria’s economic or social development, earned credible local and international recognition for excellence, and maintained a strong digital presence that reflects their brand, achievements and impact.
The organisers stated that nominations for the award will open on July 29, 2026, after which qualified companies will be published on the official DTN@100 voting platform for public voting.
At the end of the voting process, the 10 companies with the highest number of verified public votes will emerge as recipients of the DTN@100 Trailblazer Award and will be honoured during the DTN@100 Heroes Awards and Centenary Celebration.
Beyond the award, the winning organisations will also be featured in The Nigerian Grand Book (Magnum Opus), described as a national publication celebrating organisations and individuals whose contributions have helped shape Nigeria’s history while inspiring its future.
The DTN@100 celebration forms part of activities commemorating 100 years of the Daily Times Nigeria, one of the country’s oldest newspaper institutions, with the awards aimed at spotlighting organisations that have distinguished themselves through excellence, innovation and enduring contributions to national development.
