CGC Adeniyi Inspects Kano Customs College Ahead of Recruitment Training

In a move to assess the institution’s readiness for the 2026 Customs Basic Training Programme, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has inspected the Customs Training College, Goron Dutse, Kano.

CGC Adeniyi’s inspection on Saturday, August 29, 2026, formed part of the Nigeria Customs Service’s (NCS) preparations for the commencement of the 2025/2026 Recruitment Training.

The Customs boss was received by the Zonal Coordinator, Zone B, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Nsikan Umoh; Comptroller, Federal Operations Unit Zone B, Aminu Sule; Commandant of the Customs Training College, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Umar Atiku; and other principal officers and heads of units.

During the visit, he assessed the College’s facilities, ongoing projects, logistics, and general readiness to accommodate the incoming recruits.

In his remarks, Adeniyi reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to providing the necessary facilities, logistics and conducive environment required for the effective training and capacity development of the new recruits.

He stressed the importance of ensuring that the College is adequately equipped to deliver professional and effective basic training that would prepare the recruits for their responsibilities within the NCS.

While briefing the CGC on the College’s activities, Commandant Atiku highlighted ongoing developments and preparations underway to receive the incoming recruits.

The CGC subsequently toured various facilities within the institution to assess their state of readiness.
