The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has denied authoring a letter to the Obi of Onitsha, His Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, concerning political and financial matters in Anambra State.
The denial follows the circulation of a letter on social media, purportedly written by Obi to the monarch.
Disowning the purported letter, Obi described it as “entirely false, malicious, and a fabrication by mischievous elements” aimed at misleading the public.
“Furthermore, the signature appended to the letter is completely forged,” he said.
The former Anambra State governor urged the public and the media to disregard what he described as a spurious publication.
He reiterated his commitment to national development, accountability, and building a better future for the people, rather than engaging in what he described as “cheap fabrications.”
