Abuja: EFCC Arrests 15 Suspected Internet Fraudsters, Recovers Car, Others

Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.

EFCC disclosed this on Tuesday, noting that the suspects were apprehended in Amax apartment, Guzape, leading to the recovery of a Toyota Highlander car and phones.

The anti-corruption agency stated that the arrest followed credible intelligence that linked the suspects to fraudulent internet activities.

“Items recovered from them include a Toyota Highlander with customized registration number (BORNO AAA) and phones,” it said.

The Commission added: “They have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
