Fayose Says Governor Oyebanji United Ekiti Leaders, Endorses Second Term Bid

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has endorsed the re-election bid of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, praising him for fostering unity among political leaders in the state.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally held in Ado-Ekiti ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, Fayose revealed that Governor Oyebanji had succeeded in bringing together political leaders who were previously divided by rivalries and disagreements.

According to him, past administrations were often characterised by political differences among key stakeholders, but the incumbent governor has been able to unite leaders across various divides in the collective interest of Ekiti State.

“Governor Oyebanji came and united everybody. He put everybody together,” Fayose said.

He commended the governor’s leadership style and urged Ekiti residents to support his re-election, expressing confidence that Oyebanji would emerge victorious in Saturday’s election.

Fayose further stressed the need for continuity, maintaining that the current administration should be allowed to continue its developmental agenda for another four years.

“The process should continue. Let us stay together for the next four years,” he stated.

Fayose also urged the political class in the state to maintain its unity and work collectively to ensure a smooth leadership transition in the future.

He added that the state’s leaders would reconvene in 2030 to support the emergence of a new leader.
