Internet Fraud: EFCC Arrests 14 Suspects in Jos, Recovers Laptops, Other Items

Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 14 suspected internet fraudsters in K-Vom and Rayfield areas of Plateau State capital, Jos.

Dele Oyewale, the Head, Media & Publicity of EFCC disclosed this in a statement, noting that the suspects were apprehended on Saturday, March 8.

Oyewale noted that the arrest was made following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related activities.

“Items recovered from them include five laptops, 13 phones and two power banks,” he stated.

The spokesperson added that the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
