Moghalu Lauds Rwanda’s Zero Tolerance for Governance

The President of African School of Governance (ASG), Mr. Kingsley Moghalu has commended Rwanda’s rigorous approach to governance.

Moghalu, in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday highlighted the country’s commitment to effective leadership and accountability.

He wrote: “Anyone who knows how devastated – physically, psychologically, and emotionally Rwanda was after the genocide in 1994, and lives in Rwanda today, must acknowledge that an objective transformation rare for an African country, has taken place. Reason? Leadership and Governance.”

According to the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Rwanda’s ministers purchase and finance their own vehicles with their transport allowances, rather than relying on official cars.

“In Rwanda , government ministers don’t have official cars, residences, or security guards. You buy your own vehicle and finance it with your transport allowance (zero fleet policy). Rent your own residence with your accommodation allowance. No pomp and pageantry,” he said.
