Senate Suspends Natasha for 6 Months

The Senate has suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for 6 months amid her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The suspension was recommended by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

The committee stated that Natasha’s salary and security details will be withheld for the 6-month duration.

It also proposed that she is not permitted to access the National Assembly premises throughout her suspension period.

Thelensng reports that Natasha’s allegations have led to her submitting a petition to the Senate.
