Golden Jubilee: Ex-MWUN PG Adeyanju Celebrates Bunu, Commends His Stewardship

The immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, has congratulated the incumbent President-General of the Union, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

Adeyanju described Comrade Bunu as an agile and pragmatic leader whose capacity and qualities have reinforced his confidence in the stewardship of the Union under his successor.

He noted that Bunu has given assurance that the Maritime Workers’ Union remains in capable hands, stressing that he holds no regrets or disappointments in Bunu’s leadership, which he continues to celebrate without limits.

The former PG commended Bunu for being a good successor and expressed pride in the focused and disciplined leadership he has maintained since assuming office.

According to him, Comrade Bunu will continue to steer the Union in the right direction with purposeful focus, commitment, and genuine care for both workers and executives.

He described the MWUN President-General as an Ijaw-born labour warrior, fierce activist, astute maritime administrator, and veteran sailor whose dedication remains unquestionable.

He said the day has been divinely ordained for happiness, rejoicing, grace, kindness, love, and thanksgiving, wishing the celebrant continued wellbeing.

“My prayers for you is that may the Almighty God continue to bless, protect, preserve, and provide for you always. He will continually give you wisdom and the mind of discernment in good health enmeshed in longevity as your soul prospers.

“Once again, I say happy birthday to you, my brother and Comrade successor, PG Bunu. May your reign in the Union continue to be a story of success. God bless you and your homefront”, he added.
