The Federal Government (FG) has announced Thursday, April 11 as additional public holiday in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
FG had earlier declared Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10, 2024 respectively as public holidays on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior in a statement signed by its Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako on Tuesday added Thursday to the public holidays for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
“The Federal Government has approved Thursday 11th April, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Fitr,” part of the statement reads.
The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo congratulated the Muslim Ummah for a successful completion of a month of spiritual rejuvenation.
Minister Tunji-Ojo reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s firm commitment to providing a safe and prosperous Nigeria for all to thrive.
