Gov. Mbah Launches Revival of Enugu United Palm Products Worth ₦100bn

The Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Mbah has unveiled the restoration of Enugu United Palm Products Ltd. (EUPPL) worth ₦100 billion.

Mr. Mbah disclosed the development on his X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, noting that the partnership with Pragmatic Palms Limited (PPL) is more than just an investment; rather, it is the triumph of vision over doubt.

He wrote: “Despite the scepticism that greeted this ambitious plan, we have shown that with focus and determination, we can unlock the true potentials of our state.”

According to him, the project is set to create 3,500 jobs, breathe life into 20,000 hectares of palm plantation, and establish world-class oil mills and refining capacities.

The governor stated beyond reviving a business, the initiative is geared towards igniting a transformation that will place Enugu at the forefront of agricultural innovation and economic growth in Nigeria.

He said that the vision is to make the state a premier destination for investment, industry, and sustainable development.

“Today’s groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant step towards realising that goal, proving that with strategic partnerships and determination, we can achieve great things for our state,” Governor Mbah added.

He expressed gratitude to Enugu residents for trusting in the vision, and PPL for their commitment to its success.
