Odegaard Extends Arsenal Contract Till 2028

Martin Odegaard has signed a new deal at Arsenal that will see him remain at the club till June 2028.

Prior to putting pen to paper on Friday, Odegaard, 24, had a year left on his previous contract with the Gunners.

“Signing a new contract was a really easy decision for me for lots of reasons. Mainly what we are doing right now as a club is special, and I want to be part of that,” Odegaard told the club’s official website.

The midfielder added: “I’m really excited for what’s to come here. I’ve found a place where I can be really settled and call my home.

“My story is a bit different maybe, as I moved around different clubs since I was 16. At Arsenal, since the first day, I’ve felt great and this is definitely my home now.”

“I just want to say thanks to everyone working at the club and of course, our fantastic supporters. I will continue to give everything to bring success to this club in the years to come,” he further stated.

The Norwegian international was in fine form the last time out scoring a goal and winning the player of the match award as Arsenal whitewash PSV 4-0 in their opening game of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, September 20.

Odegaard has also registered two goals in five Premier League games for Mikel Arteta’s side this season – and they sit fourth on the Premier League standings having amassed 13 points, tied on the same points with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in second and third respectively – and two points behind league leaders, Manchester City who have accumulated 15 points.
