The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba, Lagos, is set to resume its second semester examination for the 2023/2024 academic session on Friday, August 9.
The monotechnic on Tuesday, July 30, announced the suspension of examination till August 15, due to the nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests that commenced on Thursday, August 1 and ‘expected’ to continue till 10th of the same month.
However, the Students’ Affairs Officer (SAO) of NIJ, Mrs. Eke Esther, in a notice on Monday, disclosed that the examinations for the remainder of the session have been brought forward.
“Please be informed that the remaining examination will hold on Friday and Saturday, this week.
“This means, the examination which was supposed to hold Thursday and Friday (last week) will now hold on Friday and Saturday, August 9th and 10th respectively,” the notice reads.
With the latest development, the final year students will now be writing their last paper ‘Political Communication (MAC 426)’ on Friday, while the other students will also be returning to complete the rest of their papers.
