Cole Palmer has been awarded the English Premier League (EPL) Player of the Month for April 2024.
Palmer also won the league’s Goal of the Month award with his first strike against Everton assisted by Senegalese international, Nicolas Jackson.
The 22-year-old played four (4) Premier League games for Chelsea in the month of April and registered seven (7) goals – the highest in the league.
He netted three times (hat-trick) in Chelsea’s 4-3 win against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Stamford Bridge – and also recorded four goals in his side’s 6-0 victory over Everton (also at home).
The versatile player equally grabbed an assist – amounting to eight goal contributions (the highest in the league in April 2024).
This is the first time Cole Palmer will be winning the award – and the feat makes him the first Chelsea Player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award since Eden Hazard in September 2018.
He is also the first Chelsea Player in Premier League history to win both Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards in the same month.
Beyond the month of April, the former Manchester City player has also been fantastic for Chelsea this season having scored 21 league goals, the second highest behind Erling Haaland, who has registered 25 goals.
