
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has returned the sum of five million Naira found during the Open Drug market operation at Tenant Road Aba, Abia State to its owner.
ThelensNG gathered that during the operation which took place from February 10, 2025 to March 9, 2025 in Aba, officers involved in the raid found some money.
The money was counted in the presence of men of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Military, and Nigerian Police Force who were part of the operation and it was established to be the total sum of five million Naira.
Investigation revealed the owner of the money to be one Godfrey Chukwudi, a Point of Sale (POS) operator in the market.
After clearance, the Agency on Monday, August 25, 2025, presented a five million Naira cheque to Chukwudi in the presence of the Chairman, Ekumi Traders Medicine Dealers Association Union, Chima Amadi and NAFDAC Directors; Pharm Shaba Mohammed fsi and Dr. Martins Iluyomade fsi.
