The Country Director of World Bank, Dr. Ndiame Diop has lauded the transportation system in Lagos State.
According to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr. Diop gave the commendation when he paid a visit to the state house on Tuesday.
He acknowledged the successes the current administration has achieved in various areas, noting that the efforts are improving the lives of the residents and supporting economic growth.
On his part, Mr. Sanwo-Olu stated that the improvements have helped strengthen the state’s economy through new rail infrastructure and investments in waterways.
They also deliberated on plans for sustainable economic growth through the state’s Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment (THEMES+) agenda, and collaboration on waste-to-energy projects to create jobs and develop skills.
