Air Peace airline has won the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Achievement Award for its innovative landmark in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
The airline claimed the award in the Corporate Category at the 2024 ICAN Awards and Annual Dinner at the Monarch Event Centre in Lagos on Saturday, May 4.
The award is in recognition of Air Peace’s top-tier achievements in its niche, and the industry-leading initiatives which the carrier has embarked on since inception, especially its recent disruptive entry into the London market.
Receiving the award on behalf of Air Peace, the airline’s Safety Manager, Captain Godfrey Ogbogu, thanked the leadership of ICAN for the honour and commended the institute’s firm commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism in accounting practice.
Ogbogu also reiterated Air Peace’s drive to continually connect cities locally, regionally and globally, stressing that the airline is poised to reduce the burden of air travel for Nigerians while fostering economic prosperity across cities, countries and continents.
ICAN was established in 1965 to produce world-class Chartered Accountants, regulate and continually enhance their ethical standards and technical competence in the public interest.
