FCT Police Arrest 3 Suspects over Attack on Boys’ Brigade Camp



The FCT Police Command has announced the arrest of three suspects in connection with the attack on the Boys’ Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, which led to the death of one of the campers, Johnson John.

The arrested suspects are Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village, Karshi.

SP Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

“Acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased, the Divisional Police Officer of Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang, led a team of police operatives who trailed and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.

“At the time of arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased. The suspects are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation,” the statement noted.

FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Saka Adewale, reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.

The Command expressed gratitude to the residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders for their continued cooperation – and urged members of the public to remain calm and law-abiding.
